Bayly's Blacksmith
features a horseshoe shaped door and hanging horseshoe.
During Dickens' time, blacksmiths were as numerous and necessary
as automobile mechanics are today. While the owner of this
establishment is primarily a Farrier, that is, a person in the
business of shoeing horses, he is also proficient at
manufacturing tools, house hold utensils and practical items
marked by good design.
